About the designer of Medieval 2

Composer and pianist Robert Piéchaud is an expert in music notation, music font design and computer programming.

Robert's interest in music spreads from the oldest known forms of music notation - Medieval 2's focus - to the XXIst cent. avant-garde.

Robert’s contribution to music technology includes: Human Playback, ScoreMerger, FinaleScript, the Medieval 1 plug-in, the fonts Neuma, November 2, Broadway Copyist, and Bärenreiter Urtext, and more recently the development of IRCAM’s Modalys (physical model-based sound synthesis), real time musical instrument active control systems and spectral musical analysis.
